Fall is in the Air

How many of you are ready for Fall?!  It's been cold in Minnesota and we actually had snow earlier in the week – I sure don't like that!  But, I do like the following card that I wanted to share with you from another demonstrator friend – Lisa Bowell – from Knapp, Wisconsin.  I hope you enjoy it as much as my September club gals did – enjoy!

Here is a list of Supplies Needed for this card:

  • Days of Gratitude stamp set – Holiday Mini Catalog – page 12
  • Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Square Lattice – page 214 – IB&C
  • Big Shot – page 204 – IB&C
  • Early espresso classic ink pad – page 169 – IB&C
  • Cajun craze classic ink pad – page 169 – IB&C
  • More mustard Classic stamp pad – page 168 – IB&C
  • Early espresso card stock – page 169 – IB&C
  • Cajun craze card stock – page 168 – IB&C
  • Very Vanilla card stock – page 169 – IB&C
  • Stampin' dimensionals – page 197 – IB&C
  • 5/8" early espresso grosgrain ribbon – page 191 – IB&C

Step by Step Directions:

  1. Cut the Early espresso card stock at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half for base of card.
  2. Using the Cajun craze ink pad – stamp the cluster of flowers from the Days of Gratitude stamp set onto the top right corner of the very vanilla (4" x 5 1/4") card stock.
  3. Put half of the very vanilla card stock (4" x 5 1/4") into the square lattice embossing folder and put through the Big Shot to impress the image into it.
  4. Take a 6 1/2" piece of early espresso ribbon and adhere the ends of the ribbon on the back side of the very vanilla card stock using snail adhesive – just below the square lattice impression.
  5. Attach to the early espresso – base of card.
  6. Take a smaller piece of early espresso ribbon and wrap around the right side of the ribbon and tie into a faux bow/knot.
  7. Stamp "Thank You" in the bottom right corner of the card using Cajun craze ink.
  8. Cut out a piece of cajun card stock at 2 1/4" x 3 1/2".
  9. Cut out a very vanilla card at 2" x 3 1/4".  Stamp a random pattern of the leaves in 3 different inks – one at a time – using more mustard first, cajun craze second, and early espresso last – see picture.
  10. Attach #8 and #9 together using snail adhesive.
  11. Put a dimensonal on the back of #10 from above in each of the 4 corners.  Remove paper backing and attach to the left side of the card and over the top of the early espresso ribbon.
  12. Your card is finished!
