It has been a great day creating in my stamp room today on this cold and gray day in Minnesota! It really is a quick and easy Christmas card and you still have some time to create your own for Christmas. Here is what I came up with – what do you think? Supplies needed:
- Whisper white card stock – #100730
- Cherry Cobbler card stock – #119685
- Beautifully Baroque stamp set – #130895 (wood only)
- More Merry Messages – #126400 (wood) #126402 (clear)
- Cherry cobbler ink pad – #126966
- Cherry cobbler marker – #119681
- 3/8" whisper white taffeta ribbon – #109070
- 2 way glue pen – #100425
- dazzling diamonds glitter – #102023
- stampin' dimensionals – #104430
- mini glue dots – #103683
Cut card stock:
- whisper white – cut one piece at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half for base of card
- cherry cobbler – cut one piece at 5 1/4" x 4""
- whisper white – cut one piece at 5" x 3 3/4"
- scraps of whisper white card stock
Step by Step Directions:
- Stamp "Merry Christmas" on the bottom, center of the 3 3/4" x 5" whisper white card stock. Attach to the 4" x 5 1/4" cherry cobbler card stock. Attach all to the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" whisper white – base of card.
- Stamp the "Beautifully Baroque" stamp using the cherry cobbler card stock and stamp onto a scrap piece of whisper white card stock. Cut out with scissors to make it look like an ornament. Put 4 dimensionals on the back of the image and put into the center of the card. Using a straight edge (ruler), using the cherry cobbler marker, draw a straight line on the whisper white card stock – just above the ornament.
- Using the 2 way glue pen, dot glue on the ornament where you want the glitter to stick. Sprinkle dazzling diamonds glitter over the glue and shake off excess.
- Tie a bow in the 3/8" whisper white taffeta ribbon and secure to the top of the ornament using a mini glue dot.
- Your card is finished and ready to send!
