For today's post I wanted to share an Easter Card that we completed at our Punch Art stamp club last night. What do you think?!! Please post your thoughts below – I would love to hear them! This is not my original design – I was inspired by a card posted by Eva Dietz online.
Supplies:
|
Card Stock:
- Whisper white – cut one piece at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half for base of card
- Baja breeze – cut one piece at 4" x 5 1/4"
- Floral district dsp – cut one piece at 3 3/4" x 4"
- Scraps of whisper white and pink pirouette
Step by Step:
- Attach the Baja breeze dsp from the Floral District package to the Baja breeze card stock.
- Wrap a piece of 1/4" whisper white stitched grosgrain ribbon around the card stock where the dsp meets the Baja breeze card (as shown above). Tape ends on back of the card. Attach all to the whisper white – base of card.
- Tie another smaller piece of ribbon around the ribbon already in place and tie in a knot to create a faux bow.
- Stamp "Happy Easter" from the Delightful Dozen stamp set using black staz on ink on the bottom center of the Baja breeze card stock.
- To create the bunny:
· Full heart – cut one from scraps of whisper white card stock.
· large oval – cut 2 for the ears from whisper white card stock.
· small oval – cut 2 for the inside of the ears from scraps of pink pirouette card stock.
· small circle – cut 1 for the nose
- Assemble the bunny as shown above. Put dimensionals on the back of the bunny and put above the ribbon as shown.
- Using the basic black marker, create the whiskers and the mouth of the bunny.
- Your card is finished!
I love the card. Can't wait to meet you at the Dakota Fair. Would love to take some of your classes. Diana
Can’t wait for the Fair – I LOVE it! See you soon!!
