stampin' up! simply sketched

Supplies:

  • Simply Sketched stamp set
  • VersaMark stamp pad
  • Whisper white embossing powder
  • Baked brown sugar stamp pad
  • Pink Pirouette stamp pad
  • Old Olive stamp pad
  • Rose red stamp pad
  • Heat gun
  • Big Shot
  • Oval framelits collection
  • sponge daubers
  • pearls
  • Natural Composition Specialty paper
  • mini glue dots

Card Stock:

  • Natural Composition Specialty paper – cut one piece at 5 1/2" x 12"
  • blushing bride – cut one piece at 4 1/2" x 4"
  • very vanilla – cut one piece at 4 1/2" x 4"

Step by Step:

  1. Score the Natural Composition Specialty Paper at 2", 4", 8", and 10".
  2. Using the #4 framelit (from smallest to largest), lay it on the inside of the card with the grooved edge FACE UP – not face down as you typically do.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!  Fold up the flaps as shown in the picture above and close the card over the framelit.  Run through the big shot.  When you remove the card, the ovals are perfect and match!  There will be a small cut line on the inside of the card, but that will be okay as your very vanilla stamped image goes over the top of it!
  3. Using the 4th and 5th framelit (from smallest to largest), lay both of these framelits on the blushing bride card stock and cut out at the same time to create a blushing bride frame to be placed over the ovals from #3 above.  Attach to the left oval cut out of the card first before cutting in half.  Attach the 2nd one to the right side of the oval using a mini glue dots.  Attach 3 pearls on the bottom right blushing bride oval as shown above.
  4. Using the #5 framelit (from smallest to largest), cut out the very vanilla card stock using the big shot.
  5. Stamp the flower from the Simply Sketched stamp set onto the very vanilla card stock from #5 above using versa mark pad.  Sprinkle whisper white embossing powder over the image, shake off excess and then heat set with a heat gun.
  6. Using sponge daubers, sponge the different colors over the embossed image using the different colors as shown.
  7. Stamp your greeting using baked brown sugar ink and at the right of the flower image.
  8. Your card is finished!
